A versatile product that can be used as a cheese board, display board, serving platter or decorative piece.
Beautiful portuguese marble in white and grey color, leather handle. Rounded corners with polished finishing.
Marble is a product of Nature, therefore each board has its own unique pattern and color.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
I don't recommend using the boards for chopping food, or use any sharp blades on, because marble is a stone and it will likely scratch. Please handle it with care, as its low thickness may cause it to break or chip easily.
Marble is susceptible to chips or stains, as it is a softer stone. Marble is a base on the PH scale, which means that it will have a chemical reaction whenever it comes in contact with acidic substances. This can include a variety of foods, sauces, beverages, and cleaning products.
Its also susceptible to etching, meaning that any acids (lemon juice, tomato juice, wine, among others) that is not cleaned right away, may etch the surface of the stone, making it dull.
All natural stones are porous, and marble is prone to water penetration, and staining from colorful liquid agents. This can be prevented by applying a chemical barrier / sealer, but as I sell the boards for kitchen use mostly, I chose not to use any chemicals, being it a choice of the buyer to apply.
